His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah recognises Artificial Intelligence, A.I as a key driver of future growth which aligns with Brunei Darussalam's Digital Transformation Plan and the Smart Nation vision.

The monarch in a titah also says cultural and creative industries are catalysts for innovation and economic opportunity, therefore inclusive support through access to finance, capacity building, intellectual property protection, and global market linkages can help transform their potential into tangible economic value. His Majesty highlights the matter while attending the APEC Economic Leaders' Retreat, Session Two held at the Gyeongju Hwabaek International Convention Center, Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

His Majesty expresses support for APEC initiatives and partnerships that enhance creativity and skills, build digital capacity, and promote responsible A.I innovation. His Majesty congratulates the Republic of Korea for its APEC leadership this year, and Malaysia on its ASEAN Chairmanship. His Majesty also expresses confidence in the People's Republic of China's upcoming APEC Chairmanship in 2026.
